|Robert Hoffman is a signature
member of the Oil Painters of America. He is an artist member of the
Brown County Art Guild, the Association of Artist and Craftsmen of Porter
County and the Hoosier Salon.
He has had numerous solo shows including one at the Northern Indiana Arts Association in Munster, Indiana; the Purdue Calumet Bicentennial Library Gallery in Hammond, Indiana; the American Bar Association in Chicago, Illinois; the Chesterton Art Gallery in Chesterton, Indiana.
His work has received over 65 awards including 5 awards from the Hoosier Salon exhibits in Indianapolis and 4 awards from the Art Comp Salon Shows at the Chesterton Art Center. It is included in public and corporate collections as well as private collections. His work can be seen at the Artist's Den in Valparaiso, Indiana, the Brown County Art Guild in Nashville, Indiana and the Chesterton Art Gallery.
Mr. Hoffman has taught painting since 1972 and has conducted workshops throughout the country including Hudson River Valley Art Workshops, (Greenville, New York), Joseph Art School, (Joseph, Oregon), Hilton Head Art League, (Hilton Head Island, South Carolina), Dillman's Sand Lake Lodge, (Lac Du Flambeau, Wisconsin), Clearwater Art Association (Orofino, Idaho), Spring and Fall workshops in Brown County, Indiana and dunes workshops on the southern shores of Lake Michigan.
Robert Hoffman was featured in an article about his fall Brown County 2006 workshop in the Spring 2007 issue of Workshop.
Mr. Hoffman was born in Northwest Indiana. He
studied at the Chicago Academy of Fine Art. He also studied under
artists Hal Rogoff, Kay Pool, Fredrick Rigley, Ken Gore, Franklin Jones,
Jim Pollard and Don Stone.
